Comrade Austin Agada was born on 26th June 1983 to the family of Mr Peter Agada and Mercy Ibochi Agada in Ai-Odu Owukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State.
Austin Agada attended Police Children School, Jos Plateau State between 1991-1995 and obtained First School Leaving Certificate. He proceeded to the Federal Government College NISE Awka, Anambra State where he passed the West African Examination Council (WEAC) and National Examination Council (NECO) respectively.
- Austin Agada is a vibrant young man who is well exposed. He has visited the United Kingdom and Egypt. Within the country, he has travelled to all the 36 States of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
- Agada is multilingual, he speaks Idoma, Hausa, Igbo and English language fluently and understands a little of Tiv language. He loves reading, writing, exploring nature, playing table tennis, football and volleyball.
- Agada, is a responsible husband and father married to Mrs Tina Agada, is a chef and a home manager. The marriage is blessed with two children, a bouncing baby boy and a beautiful girl.
He was admitted to read Business Management at the Benue State University, Makurdi in 2002 and graduated with the Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management in 2006.
Hon. Agada did the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) with Fin Bank Plc, Kubwa Branch, Abuja as a Retail Marketer in 2008-2009.
- He is currently reading for MBA Management and Administration at Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
- Hon. Agada became actively involved in student unionism, making tremendous contributions to his Department, Faculty, Student Union Government (SUG), the National Association of Idoma Students (NAIS), the National Union of Benue State Students, (NUBESS) and the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
- In 2005, Comrade Agada was elected as Secretary General, Student Union Government, Benue State University, Makurdi.
Agada joined politics in 1998. In 2003 while in school at the Benue state university, makurdi, he became Personal Assistant to the Commissioner of Finance, Benue State, Dr Christopher Obute.
In the build-up to the 2011 elections, Agada and other progressives joined forces with Barr. Targema Takema who was the arrowhead of the Think Tank of Sen. Akume which later metamorphosed into a powerful movement that brought in professor Steve Ugba and young Alhaji, who campaigned vigorously to wrestle power from the PDP in 2011.
- Hon. Agada served as Deputy Youth Director, ACN Gubernatorial Campaign Organization Benue State in 2011.
- In 2014, APC Benue State Interim Committee was constituted to manage the affairs of the party. The committee was headed by Barr. Targema Takema and six other members. Hon. Agada served as Administrative Secretary of the APC Benue State Interim Committee where, perhaps he prepared himself for any bigger party administrative responsibility.
- While working with Benue South APC Campaign Council as Director of New Media, he eventually vied for the Benue State House of Assembly, Ogbadibo State Constituency in 2015.
As it turned out APC won the governorship election in 2015 and Governor Samuel Ortom appointed Hon. Agada as SSA on Administration Cabinet Office (SSG).
Again, Agada was an aspirant of the party for the same position in the 2019 election and won the party primaries.
- Following his unsuccessful attempts to represent his people at the Benue State House of Assembly, Sen. (Dr.) George Akume the Hon. Minister of Special Duties and the Intergovernmental Affairs Federal Republic of Nigeria, appointed Hon. Agada as Special Assistant to the Honourable Minister on Political Matters, the position he held till he became APC Chairman, Benue State.
- Hon. Agada won the APC State Chairmanship election landslide and promised to , focus his attention on the following; reposition the party and promote internal democracy, recapture power from PDP in 2023, mobilization of voters through awareness campaign across the 23 LGA.
- Efficient and transparent management of the party affairs, Reconciling aggrieved party members, Mobilize other State APC Chapters across the country to support Sen. Dr George Akume’s National Chairman contest.
